well, i have a question of which i know what the answer will be most likely.
i'm missing pro-q3tourney4 and some other IDmaps really hard in openarena. so, if i extract the mapdata from the quake3's pak0.pk3 and decompile it by using gtkradiant's bspc with
"<path to GTKRadiant folder>\bspc.exe" -bsp2map "<path to map>" -output "<outputdir>"
and replace every single texture in the map by my own custom textures, would this still violate copyright-protection? or in other words: are only the textures copyrighted or the whole map?
