I don't know anything about this side of things, but, could it be possible to create a new breed of bots by tweaking a lot their behavior? Something like a 'superbot', which would play really well, not just by having 100% accuracy in rail--which is unrealistic--but by playing a bit like humans do. I guess this would need per-map tweaking, but it would be cool.

Sure. There are quiete many. Lakerbot is pretty famous, even it is not that good.

Spiterbot is the best Q3-Bot i've played against.
He has human-type aim (ok, master on skill 100 has inhuman aim ;)), he can time items (a bit), he can strafe jump to reach high platforms (he needs mapinfo on a map, containing places where he can strafejump) and he evades incoming projectiles quiete well.

I am not sure, if its supported in OA. I guess it'll work only on Q3maps as ztn3tourney1, pro-q3tourney4, pro-q3dm6 only. (Unless you create a map-file for the map).

afaik.. there are 4 botfiles or so which are plain ascii text files.. in them you can change values and stuff...

here is an editor.. (which works in wine..)

Ye i know this one.

BotStudio is a lot better and has more features. Both editors are made for Q3 bots thou. If you use them in OA, you will get "Weapon number out of range" error messages every time the bot tries ti fire a bullet.

Yea bot studio is the one I used, I got lost with all the endless combinations. It's highly unlikely that anyone could create the same bot.

I found a xaero-retard bot but never got it working :(
