I 'm currently having some problem connecting to the main RN servers ; my ping is more than 160 msec ( till 175 or so ) instead of 9x-100 :

(at least) since yesterday evening, the RN servers are lagging.

and its becoming rather worse, than better.

first i thought it might be due to the two crowded cpm-runs, but that's not it.

is teeworlds causing it maybe? the servers are pretty empty now, but still its lagging..

Same problem here, I get a freeze for like 3 seconds every once in a while (even on RN CTF|private) -- looks like either a running service or the trojan is back.

I've found a service that can help more to understand if the own connection is good for online gaming : www.pingtest.net/

This is what I've obtained today ( tested over a server of their service's network, placed in teh Netherlands as TMM server )

Code::
- Packet Loss : 0%
- Ping 108 msec
- Jitter 5 msec

It's a good result because of absence of packet loss, but I have a significant enough jitter ( 5msec today , but usually also a bit higher )

As I understand the jitter is the other important parameter for a good gaming-oriented connection.

The jitter may depend by other factors : ISP network quality ( infrastructure + routing service ) , number of hops and each quality of them , server's hosting quality.

Now following a test over RN main server

The middle hops network jitter is the worst one , followed by my ISP network , while TMM server has the better response ( only a jitter of 3,6 msec- best ping 93.2, worst 96.8 )

I've obtained a better result with a second test ( jitter of 2.2 msec ) :

But anyway there's a 3.3 % of packet loss in both cases .

Remember that : no packet loss + lower jitter ( translated -> STABLE PING , without significant variations ) means better performances, even with a high ping.

I didn't change the default server, so it chose one in switzerland. Note the 70% packet loss.

Uhm ... there was something wrong with packets delivering after I've repeated the test (first unable to deliver packets then quite 100 per cent of lost packets, line quality F :/ )... anyway after few tests I've obtained an equivalent result than that obtained this afternoon.

For some reason packetloss cant be measured using that site. Used an .AT server now.
