In Windows I noticed I couldn't even get to the second pad on the easiest jump pads in xcd_tricks, so playing with the variables I found that I needed to change pmove_float so I magically was able to finish them without much effort. On the other hand, in Linux the current graphics stack limits the FPS to the screen refresh rate, and I found that I had to set pmove_fixed to "1" (pmove_float doesn't exist in my Linux config file).

I think pmove_fixed sets the physics to be independent of frame rate, is that right? Does it provide the same as 125 FPS or is it an approximation? What about pmove_float?

If pmove_fixed works well I guess it's a good solution to cap the frame rate to 60 and make it easier for the CPU, also avoiding frame rate losses in complex maps...
