Hi

We would like to provide the logistics for the tournament. The teams are requested to head to the following servers at the start of the event and please be sure to make it on time.

The demos and screenshots will be posted soon.

We'd like to send special thanks to the following players

Alma (For providing the best server in oa for us to play on each day, Nemesis)

Jack Thomspon for doing the matchups and the map selection for each match with his randomizer script.

PopeJo and Cyberdemon (For allowing us the use of the RN and OA knockout servers, but for also supporting us all throughout the planning and execution of the event)

Billgates (For allowing us the use of the Oan server)

Gerbil and RoseWine (For refereeing matches after being asked to on the spot)

All the teams that participated (RN,Um,6r,Evil,J9,Oan) - The tournament obviously couldn't have been a success without you.

FUTURE

We'd like teams to suggest improvements for possible future tournaments. Not every suggestion will be incorporated but we think the next tournament can be even better with your help so feel free to add your suggestion to this thread.

For a future tournament might there be an option to let teams chose, what match to play? Just noticed um vs /V/ was played on q3wcp9 :blarg:

Joki, every team picked a map --> maps where made public, so everyone could train --> maps where pulled randomly for the matches.

I agree with Joki ( if he meant to express this concept ) ... playing on q3wcp9 is not the same than playing on oa_ctf2 or oasago2 and I don't want to mean that it's easier to win , but only that in a much complex map u have alternative routes to captures , the team can concentrate themselves to strategies rather than on beeing quick to reach rails or lg or containing enemy in a area with direct railshots ( uh ? Did I say camping ? ... no ? ... )

Sorry, i didn't mean to create some kind of small "argument". I just wanted to suggest something for a possible 2nd round of this event.
