Uh ??? ... One way judgment ? ... Naaah .. since there's no any OBJECTIVE mechanism to spot cheaters ( no PB ) in baseoa the rules should be more restrictive or eventually the rule 9 should be removed.

3) Mod : OSP , XBATTLE or CPMA in VQ3 mode with full realtime stats and 3 timeout allowed, autorecord demo and screenshot at the end of the match , both to be provided in a public space .
4) In case of tie after 20 minutes there will be an extra time of 2 minutes.

If ping is varied between people then x-battle might be better with it's integrated unlagged.

pmove_fixed 1 set on server

the client can enable pmove_fixed by
cg_pmove_fixed 1... or even better.. cg_pmove_fixed 2 (which is more accurate)... it uses a tiny bit more cpu but it doesnt give you the dropped frames that sometimes happens with pmove_fixed

raz3r, joki and kernel said "hopefully" they are there.

so, all in all, it should work =D
btw. we'll also use our clanserver for that event.

I hope we can get good matches with american teams. I never play on US servers, so I don't know how well this works.

Hi.
Some of the teams have made their selection and hence the maps in the pool are as follows

1) Oasago (RN selection)
2) oa_ctf2
3) mlctf1beta

Even though mlctf1beta is not a map regularly played, it is very simple and can be easily mastered very fast. Hence we accepted it for its simplicity. For your convenience we provide the following link to download mlctf1beta map

mlctf1beta is a nice map but the other 2 really suck ( oa_ctf2 is a rail camp fest just everytime and oasago becomes the preferred map by the "click click bang bang" ehm .... "players" )

Why do not chose between :

- q3wcp5
- q3wcp14
- q3wcp9
- q3wcp17
- cpmctf2

Unfortunately some teams have not been able to decide on their map by the required deadline. Hence in order to be fair to the teams that have chosen a map in time, to give everyone ample time to practice and to ensure that the tournament progresses smoothly we have chosen the maps other than those chosen by the teams and the final pool is as follows

1) speedyctf
2) oasago2
3) ps37ctf
4) pul1ctf
5) oa_ctf2
6) bubctf1
7) q3wcp9
8) mlctf1beta

Since there will be 8 teams and 7 matches, 1 map will have to be removed. For this we require you to vote on which map to remove and the map with the most number of votes will be removed. The deadline for this is Sunday morning EST.

The following link is for downloading some of the not so common maps: rapidshare.com/files/2...k.zip.html

In case you have trouble getting the maps, please let us know.

The matchups and the map for each matchup will be put up soon.

Same for bubctf1 : railgun is too easy to be reached and also this map become soon a rail camp fest ... maybe better using the map-13vast remix.

The voting process for the map to be removed from the pool has been completed. Here are a look at the results:

3 votes for bubctf1 (J9,uM,6R)
1 vote for speedyctf (oaN)
1 vote for oa_ctf2 (RN)
2 no votes (SupeR, SC)

Since the organizers had to choose some of the maps, it was decided that team Valherus should not participate in the voting process. In any case there is a clear majority and bubctf1 has been voted out of the pool.

MATCHUPS AND MAPS
Jack Thompson (Most recently known for his 'No more missing textures' texture pack gpl-q3a2oa-textures.pk3 in use by many servers) was asked to write a script to randomly select the matchups and the maps to go along with them. This was his result.

8 Teams and 8 Maps

Match1: J9 vs SuperBots on oasago2
Match2: RN vs 6r on oa_ctf2
Match3: Um vs /V/ on q3wcp9
Match4: SC vs Oan on *speedyctf

SemiFinals1: Winner Match1 vs Winner Match2 on ps37ctf
SemiFinals2: Winner Match3 vs Winner Match4 on pul1ctf

Final: Winner SemiFinals1 vs Winner SemiFinals2 on mlctf1beta

*Jack thompson had all 8 maps in his pool when he ran his script and bubctf1 was selected for Match4 with speedyctf being the map left out. As bubctf1 has been voted out, speedyctf replaced it.

Note: Evil team is on standby, and in case any team is not able to make it, Evil team will be replacing them in the tournament.

In case of any questions or clarifications please contact /V/Specious aka /V/DeadlyNoOB or /V/sns, or post a reply here.
