i hate seeing that long 0.7.1 list, makes me feel like i should stop working on OA. No one cares for what i do for the project anymore.

Or u can declare OA-0.7.1 as deprecated , retire the binaries from all distribution channels ( there are 2 or 3 channels at least ) and also the engine sources and/or the other component sources from the SVN.

You used for a while ( not so short while ) a signature that says : " if openarena (engine ? ) sucks , blame this guys ( link to ioquake3.org ) " 'cause of the phantomatic mouse input problem ... but the new engine , in its original sources - without the inclusion of what it should be provided as a mod - is much better than the revision used for oa071.

The mouse input issue problem was greatly solved.

There's also the quakelive mouse accel code proposed by jt , which appears great for me that was simply ignored.

I'm used to play OA -071 , but with an engine based on the latest ioquake3 SVN ( 1489 atm ) + quakelive mouse accel patch : this is a much better solution (and it should be also a much equal solution , 'cause the mouse input in the oa071 old engine is too much windows dependent : I mean that windows users takes a greater advantage - translate as better aiming - than linux users . the new code is much platform independent ) than the old one.

And last thing , even if u hypotetically will provide an engine based on the latest ioquake3 working for oa071 , I think that many oa071 windows version users still will prefer the old one to the new version simply 'cause a larger range of q3 bots ( aimbot, autoaim, autofire ... ) still works on it.

Con Osservanza ( Regards )

Falkland.

I've noticed this issue , but I thought u've filtered the list :/

It could be simply a timeout problem , 'cause the page could be generated before the entire query to the dpmaster is finished ... :/

i just wanted to take this opportunity to misinterpret both posts in one! ;)

Well ... according to the OpenArena Forum Stats , the most viewed topic is "openarena 0.7.0 released" , so instead of firering a generic statement like "No one cares for what i do for the project anymore" , it could be more useful asking why to yourself before , and then eventually with a serious poll to al(most)l players.
