Wanted to get this out of the way because this struck me immediately so I wanted to get it down before I forgot about it. If you want the PSD, which I doubt you'll ask for it but if you do, just say the word. I'll also include the font that I used.

This could probably be used for anything going on in Game Development at the moment. Modify this for a better design because I am not going to.

That is a nice idea, I like the bars AND numbers combined. Also it's in futuristic style, which is just what we would be aiming for. Nice layout..

Add ammo bar, also its better to have icons symbolyzing mode of fire/weapon. Reading takes more time than seeing a picture (icon). Having only text is just confusing. Otherwise, nice start.

How can you make this stuff work? Are there any tutorials anywhere? Would be neat to have my own custom hud to use.

rashdawg, it's called a concept for a reason. It isn't a real HUD. Seeing how I keep lying about not continuing shit, here are two more shots based from SnooSnoo's suggestions.

Before everyone goes ape-shit on me, I used the HL2 icons and crap. There is a HL2 font over on DaFont.

Here is what I was thinking, if we're going to add weapon mods and such, we might as well use a picture of the weapon, and have various parts of it change color, or get darker, as it is modified.

Here's a little something that Jack gave me. I fixed up his suggestion, which was a picture, so I'll give this one a posting anyway. It's labeled at 02.5 for a reason. XD Enjoy.

misa like!!
Love the visual weapon/ammo count like that, its perfect.
Health bars should be a bit shorter though, not streching 80% across the screen. Or even better, an option in the menu how you want to position HUD's would be great.
