i've spoken to a few people who have tried mapping, but then gave up because they couldn't get their maps to build. with that in mind i've made a basic map to get people started. it's a big empty room with some lights and a spawnpoint, nothing else. if you want to try mapping then you can use this as a safe starting point and add your own weapons and brushes (the building blocks of the game).

just copy the code below, save it as 0001.map and load it into gtkradiant.

This may sound silly but...do I need a copy of Q3 to start playing with GTKradiant?
