hey,

recently most of the times when i connect to any oa-server, lagometer looks like this and FPS is very unstable (upper line is client-delay if i remember right), so something is wrong with my comp.

taskmanager shows nothing special, except OA taking up 99% cpu, dont remember if thats normal or not.

i did scan for spyware and everything, started again, same thing. then a bit later i tried again, everything was fine again.
maybe too much .pk3s in the folders, or what? :(

I've noticed that ... my PC looses the ability to transmit to any server ( apparently it can only receive packets ) even if the skype call doesn't come from/to my PC but from/to another PC in my LAN : it's really frustrating , expecially when I am winning ... :argh: :argh:

It's fucking hard to block skype unless you have squid installed on another PC and the other clients are allowed to connect to internet only through squid ...

There are also some few and complicated ways to block it via iptables , but the publication of a reverse engeneered version of its RC4 protocol could change the siatuation soon.

Sometimes it could not depend by any particular application but by the ISP that performs extreme traffic shaping ( in practice , it drops almost Quake3 traffic )

EDT : wait .... the lagometer looks like when I've tried to set cl_timenudge to -100 with a quake3 1.32b based engine .
